Girls in Podgorica

Cheerful, beautiful, and intense. Those are the main three characteristics you'll find most girls in Podgorica have. Due to how Westernized it is, you'll find that many girls are almost stereotypes incarnate. From goth girls to hipsters, they all want different things.

They love hearing about exotic stories, talk to them about where you come from and how it's different. With that being said, most Montenegrin girls are quite fond of fighters, so if you've got some martial arts skills, feel free to show them off. There are also 3 universities in Podgorica, meaning it's easy to find intellectual, shy girls to have fun with.

RatingLooks Looks of girls: 4.5 / 5

How to Pick Up Girls

RatingPickup Chance of picking up: 2.5 / 5

There is one big roadblock many foreigners face when it comes to picking up girls in Podgorica-height. The average male height in Podgorica is a bit over 183cm, or about 6ft. In most Western countries, 6ft is considered tall, but in Podgorica, it's considered average, or even too short for some girls. In countries with an average height of 5ft 10 or so, 6ft is still the ideal height. The equivalent of the American "6ft tall" guy would be someone that's around 190cm, or 6ft 2in.

While 190cm is the ideal height girls look for, you can still score below it. Most girls simply care that you're taller than them, however, being short can be quite a big deal. Otherwise, it isn't very hard to hook up with girls in Podgorica, they're quite relaxed and liberal, with tourists being treated as somewhat of a novelty.

Tips for Daytime

RatingDaytime Chance of picking up at daytime: X.X / 5

As a foreigner, you'll surprisingly have more luck picking up chicks during the daytime. It's important to note that most girls in Podgorica aren't used to being approached by foreigners, or even speaking English. While this is a downside in a loud environment like a club, it helps you get her attention during the day. It's easier to seem more interesting, mysterious and exotic.

If you're trying to hook up during the day, try approaching girls in pubs-pubs in Montenegro are almost always full. Don't be afraid to just sit down at their table and start talking to them. Try to get them to guide you through the city if you manage to do that, you're golden. Keep in mind that it's quite uncommon to ask for phone numbers in Montenegro, rather, ask for her FaceBook or Instagram handle.

Best Places to Meet Girls

  • Pubs- Podgorica is filled with pubs and cafes. Almost every street will have at least one pub in it. It'll be quite an adventure figuring out which pub appeals to what demographic. When at a pub, you can either try offering a girl a drink, but as a tourist, you might have more luck simply asking to sit with them.
  • The Street If you're self-confident and not afraid of getting no as an answer, the streets can be an excellent way to pick up girls. Try to find a girl standing around waiting for her friends, then approach her and start talking to her, chances are, you'll either be able to get her info, or she'll introduce you to some of her friends. Since tourists are quite rare in Podgorica, the girls tend to be very hospitable.
  • Near Universities Podgorica is a university city. It has 3 different universities within it, with the most accessible, and largest, being PMF. You'll be able to find girls both in and near the universities, and since most of them will be on a break, it's a perfect time to sit down and have a chat.
  • Delta City Delta City is the biggest mall in Podgorica. It's an extremely popular meeting spot, and even has a whole square named after it "City Kvart."

Tips for Nighttime

When it comes to nighttime pickups, almost all of the pluses of being a tourist turn into minuses. Firstly, picking up in clubs is much more of a looks-based affair, and Slavic men tend to look quite good. Height can also be a disadvantaging factor. As is written above, the girls scarcely know how to speak English fluently. This means you'll lose her attention much more easily in a noisy environment. All in all, if you must pick up girls during nighttime, try to go to a less loud environment. Pubs or silent clubs will do.

RatingNighttime Chance of hooking up at nighttime: X.X / 5

Best Nightclubs to Meet Girls

  • Maximus Maximus is the biggest and most popular club in Podgorica. The girls that go there are well known for being easy. The club blares electronic music almost all night long. This is the most "Western" club when it comes to approaching girls, buying a girl a drink then walking up to her is considered the norm.
  • District Club District is the best club in Podgorica when it comes to electronic music quality. They employ a variety of distinguished DJ's to entertain their guests. Another specific about District is that it is only open 3 days a week, it opens at 10 o'clock and closes around 4 AM, leaving you plenty of time to party hard. Together with Maximus, it's the most popular disco club, as there are many clubs in Podgorica where people don't dance much.
  • Sejdefa Sejdefa is a rather unique club. They mostly play two kinds of music, jazz, and traditional ethnic music. Both of these aren't perfectly suited for dancing and cater to an older audience. You'll find a lot of people dancing national dances within, the simplest one is simply getting into a circle with everyone else and throwing your legs out.
  • Velvet Velvet is well-known for its music. They play intense Serbian turbo-folk. If you've never heard of turbo-folk before, you're in for an experience. It's possibly even better than disco music when it comes to dancing. Alcohol's almost always present in anyone dancing to it, so if you're looking for easy pickings, Velvet is the club for you.
RatingLooks Nightlife in general: 4 / 5

While the nightlife in Podgorica is quite high-quality and fun, it is not without its flaws. Sure, there are parties almost every day in most of the clubs and pubs of Podgorica, but what its missing is the more modern touch. If you're used to the ambient lighting of Western clubs for example, you won't find anything in that realm here. With that being said, the energy of the people more than makes up for it, and the nightlife here lasts until the early morning hours.

Mature Ladies and Cougars

Unfortunately, Podgorica isn't very big on cougars. Most women past their 30's will have married due to peer pressure if nothing else. The patriarchal, Slavic upbringing is very common in Montenegro, meaning that girls tend to settle down quite a bit earlier. With that being said, there are still some MILF's and cougars available, if you're trying to find them, you're best off looking around pubs. Most pubs will either be populated with older or younger people, with little in between.

Dating

When visiting Podgorica, dating can be a fun and interesting experience. AdultFriendFinder.com, lets you meet local members in Podgorica and get to know them on a personal basis before you arrive. It just takes a few minutes, you simply create an account, upload a few images and tell a little about yourself. Top Dating Tips

Arranging a date can be quite simple in Podgorica. Usually, a first date will be just going for coffee, or for drinks in a pub. Simply pick a place and tell her to come there, or alternatively, ask her to recommend one. This is an easy way for you both to loosen up and get to know each other.

Girls in Podgorica can also be quite fond of playing tour guide. Ask her to show you around town, you'll be surprised by how much stuff there is to see in such a small town. Try to make the date about her, ask her what she likes, where she wants to go.

Alternatively, you can visit the Cineplexx cinema and have a nice and relaxing movie date. These didn't use to be very common in this area, however, they've been picking up steam lately. You could also have a date in the park, although these usually come after having a few preliminary dates.

Online Dating

Unlike most developed cities, and even unlike Budva, Montenegro's most touristic city, online dating isn't very popular in Podgorica. Even chatting online with strangers is frowned upon, and online dating is almost unheard of.

While Tinder and similar apps technically exist, they're quite rare when it comes to usage. Unless you're an absolute 10/10 on the looks scale, you'll have little luck on Tinder in Podgorica. There are very few girls using it because hookup culture isn't very developed.

Because of this, if you're looking to get a date through the internet, you'll have to be a bit more crafty about it. Try meeting girls in real life first, ask them to meet up and such, eventually, you'll get their instgram/FaceBook, at that point you should start texting them. Quite a few relationships in Podgorica start out like this.

Alternatively, try to find girls online that live in Podgorica and hit them up through chat. If all else fails, you can resort to good old Tinder, although don't expect much.

Live Cam Dating

Are you looking for virtual satisfaction in Podgorica? Chat with live web camera models and find the best girl for your needs. There are thousands of girls online 24/7 waiting for you: Live Cam Girls

What Kind of Guys Have the Best Chances

You'll have the best chances if you're Caucasian or Latino. Spanish and Brazillian men are considered especially attractive in Podgorica. Alternatively, since there are very few black men in Podgorica, they're considered a novelty, and everyone knows what they say about those. If you fit the stereotype, you'll probably score quite a bit.

Otherwise, quite a lot of girls find being a good fighter to be really hot. This includes both street fights and to a lesser extent, martial arts. The "rough around the edges" type is really popular in Montenegro. Being ripped also helps to a large extent.

When it comes to personality, aloof, polarizing men are considered the most attractive. Podgorica is very much a place that values traditional masculinity. Having a nice car is also a big plus, if you've got money, feel free to flaunt it. There are many girls in Podgorica that are attracted to the smell of money.

With that being said, don't be afraid of staying in a cheap place or an Airbnb(though, most places in Podgorica are cheap) girls don't tend to look at that much, unless you own a literal vila.

Height is also a very desirable factor, there are essentially two tiers when it comes to height:

  • "Taller than me"- When you're taller than a girl, you have a chance, if you're shorter, there's hardly a point in trying. Most girls won't even consider guys that are under their height.
  • 6ft 2in and above- At 6 feet and 2 inches, you'll be considered tall, naturally, extra height won't hurt, but this is considered the optimal height by many girls in Podgorica.

Risks while Gaming

There are a few considerable risks when picking up girls in Podgorica. Slavic men are quite aggressive and protective, so if you see a girl with a guy, you're better off hitting on another one. On the off chance that it's her boyfriend, you might get talked to nicely, or you might have your jaw split on the floor. Quite a few men in Podgorica look quite unfavorably on tourists, making you an even bigger target.

Family tends to be quite chill, however, there are still some aggressive ones, and fathers can be quite troublesome when it comes to dating. If you're Asian or black, there's a high chance that the girl's father won't approve of you.

Fighting is very common in Podgorica, especially at clubs as the night goes on. Intoxicated Montenegrin men aren't known for their decision-making skills, so if you're in the middle of chatting up someone's ex, be prepared to throw down.

With that being said, it's not like you'll be hunted down purely for being a tourist, but it can be hard for someone who's not a native to get used to the culture.

How to Get Laid as Soon as Possible

Getting laid quickly in Podgorica can prove to be quite challenging. The hookup culture in Podgorica is quite new, which leads to many girls being very unsure about it. There's also a constant societal pressure to keep girls away from being "sluts" which is much more intensified in Slavic nations than their Western counterparts.

With that being said, there are some ways which you can use to optimize your chances for success. First of all, try going to a club which is known for attracting many tourists or university students. University girls tend to be very laid back, and being young, more into hookups. Tourists are also free pickings, and you can bet there's a few sexy international tourists at many clubs.

Otherwise, try not to go straight to the point unless you're absolutely incredible in the looks department. Ease her in, converse a bit, tell her about where you're from, buy her a drink...or seven. That's another important thing, most girls in Podgorica can handle their liquor, so don't try going shot-for-shot if you're a lightweight.

After she's sufficiently buzzed, and you've(hopefully) made her laugh a few times, you'll have a much easier time getting her into bed with you.

Gold Diggers and Sugar Babies

Podgorica is full of hot girls looking for a mutually beneficial hookup with travellers. There are lots of girls who don’t charge by the hour but who will do anything for a guy who is willing to help them pay their bills. If you are looking for a more personal and less transactional alternative to escorts, a good place to find these sexy open-minded girls in Podgorica is SecretBenefits.

This is probably the best way to find sugar babies in Podgorica. With that being said, gold diggers, called "sponzorusa" in the native tongue, are quite common. You won't need to try much to recognize them, as they'll come to you as soon as they find out you're a tourist(Montenegro is quite a poor country, so tourist tends to imply loaded) and that you have money.

Sugar babies will be a lot more difficult to find if you dislike online means. Such practices are almost unheard of in Montenegro, and while a select few girls might accept that if offered, it can be quite unsafe to do in any public place.

BDSM

Looking for a new bondage partner while traveling? ALT.com is a community of like-minded people with members around the globe. Our members are interested in submissive sex, power exchange, locating persons for new slave roles, erotic BDSM, bondage & fetish sex, as well as live sex dates. Find thousands of play partners for whatever your fetish may be; bondage, foot, cockold, spankings, role-play, electric or water play, sadism and masochism all while traveling in Podgorica.

Swinger Clubs and Naturism

Unfortunately, any kind of non-monogamy is very much frowned upon in Podgorica. Due to the traditionalist, patriarchal upbringing, many people are reluctant to step into this world. If what you're looking for in a city is swinger parties and nudist beaches, you'd do best to steer clear of Podgorica.

While there are some nudist beaches in Montenegro as a whole, they aren't of the exhibitionist sort. As it is quite a conservative environment, any behavior like this will be looked upon with disdain. This is truly a shame, as the women deserve to uncover different sides of themselves sexually, which can't all be done with one man.

While this is quite unfortunate, that isn't to say there aren't plenty of threesomes going around. There are a lot of bisexual girls in Podgorica(there's a big LGBTQ+ acceptance movement there). This means that if you get quite lucky, you might have a FFM threesome on your hands.

Costs of Living

Podgorica is an extremely cheap place to stay in. While it is a capital city, it's also the capital city of a country that can't exactly be described as rich. For the price of a regular McDonalds budget menu cheeseburger, you'll get a MASSIVE(think 2-3 Big Mac's) burger made of actual meat with whatever sides you want. Everything, from the accommodation to food, to drinks you'll pay for your future lays will be cheap.

CostsDay Single traveler’s budget per day: US$15- $100

$15 isn't quite a bare minimum budget, you could survive with a bit less, however, that's the amount you'll need to have a decent time. If you'd like to simply stay at a dorm and live off of 3 full meals a day, all you'll need is 15$. With that being said, just doubling that will let you enjoy the nightlife to a decent degree, and get a few drinks during the day. Spending 100$ a day, you can pretty much flex. treat people drinks, get hammered off of good rakija(local hard liquor) as well as dine excellently.

CostsAccommodation Accommodation per night: US$7 - $50

For 7$ a night, you'll get a bare-bones bed in a dormitory. While some may be fine with this, we recommend going up to at least 15$ a night, which will get you a decent room. At 20-25$ a night you can easily get a full apartment. Anything past that and you'll be staying at 3-5 star hotels.

CostsBeerBottle Beer in a grocery shop: US$0.6 - $1.5

Beer in grocery shops is extremely cheap in Podgorica. You'll find some half-liter bottles costing less than a dollar. The best local beers are "Niksicko" and "Jelen" both of which are available in light and dark. Each of these will set you back about 1.2$ for a half-liter can.

CostsBeerBar Beer in a bar or restaurant: US$1 - $3

Beer in bars and restaurants is also cheap. The price will largely depend on two things, the first is the quality of the restaurant, and the 2nd is whether it's a beer available in shops, or if it's a special craft. When it comes to craft beers, "Mamut" is an excellent local restaurant which serves them.

CostsMeal Meal in a restaurant: US$1.2 - $20

When it comes to restaurant meals, the cheapest you'll get is either a large pancake or a big hamburger(around the size of 2-3 Big Mac's), you can also get a traditional kind of meat pie called "Burek". Both of these will cost you only around 1.2$.

Pricier meals, mainly consisting of roast meat, or excellent pizza, will generally go between 5-10$. Anything above and you'll be feasting on masterfully prepared food, as those are considered high prices in Montenegro.

Accommodation

Unfortunately, accommodation options in Podgorica are quite lacking. There's essentially just hotels, dormitories and Airbnb-like private rentals. With that being said, you'll be able to find quite a lot of quality accommodation on the cheap, which balances out the downsides.

When looking for where to stay, consider the distance between two places:

  • The city center- This is where most of the popular bars and pubs are. You'll find that this is the second, if not the first most popular place to meet up. Places near the town center aren't as expensive as one would expect, use this to your advantage.
  • City Kvart- This is the other town square, containing the cities most popular mall: Delta City. Here you'll find some of the more high-quality pubs and restaurants Podgorica has to offer. while it's a bit far away from the town center, it's still an excellent place to go.

How to Get There and Move Around

By air: The Podgorica airport is the biggest airport in Montenegro. It has a variety of well-stocked facilities inside. There are direct flights to almost every major city in the world, meaning you won't be having too much trouble getting to Podgorica through the air.

By bus: The good part about Montenegro being such a small country, is that it is very interconnected. Every city with a bus station has a route to Podgorica, and these are also quite cheap. No matter your starting position, you'll have a bus that takes you directly to the capital.

By car: Travelling by car, while quite easy, is also the most expensive. Gas prices in Montenegro aren't low, so a simple 40km trip might cost you up to 15$ in gas. The roads are also rather poor, so there are few advantages in not taking public transport.

By train: There are only a few train lines in Montenegro, however, all of them go through Podgorica. If the city you're in has a train station, then it goes to Podgorica. There are also trains available from Belgrade, Serbia.

By boat: While there's no way to reach Podgorica by boat, you can take a cruise ship to the coastal cities of Montenegro. After this, you can simply fetch a bus to Podgorica.

Visas: When it comes to visas, most major countries in Europe and the Americas won't need a visa to stay in Montenegro, usually, a stay of up to 90 days will be permitted with just a valid passport. If you're in one of the countries that require a visa, the process is easy and straightforward.

Digital Nomads and Remote Work

Working as a digital nomad can be quite difficult in Podgorica. The biggest issue is that online income is not taxed, therefore, common providers like PayPal simply don't operate on Montenegrin soil.

That means you won't be able to get money off your PayPal onto a Montenegrin credit card. You'll have to use an international one, and have a way to transfer money that doesn't include a bank.

If you're thinking of working to pay off your stay in Podgorica...don't. The economy is quite bad, and the unemployment rate is sky-high(over 20%) this means that regardless of what your degree might be in, you're extremely unlikely to be hired. Your best chance is working as a translator, however, for that you'd need to be a fluent speaker of their native language.

Internet and Mobile Operators

There are quite a few mobile phone operators available in Podgorica. The most common ones are: Telenor, T-com, Telekom. Unlike most places, in Podgorica these actually have meaningful differences between each other.

Telenor has probably the best 4G internet data plans. While most operators offer some sort of unlimited data plan, Telenor's is by far the best when it comes to price. SIM cards and data aren't expensive, you might find an unlimited data SIM for as low as 20$.

Since the data prices are so low, almost everyone in Pogorica has mobile data. This will make communicating with girls much easier, as you can just send them a message anytime, without needing their number.

Gambling and Casinos

Gambling is very popular in Podgorica. The most popular form of gambling is betting on sports. If you feel like you can easily guess the outcome of a football match just by looking at the teams, delve into one of Podgorica's many sports casinos.

From Vulkan to Sport Bet and others, Podgorica is practically a heaven for sports gamblers. You'll have plenty of people around you waiting for the results, getting happy and sad with you.

If you're more into traditional casinos, the best one for you may be Merit Casino. It's a local casino which in addition to offering excellent gambling facilities, also has great food and friendly staff. They also do promotions often, so if you're staying at the Hilton hotel, expect some chips to spend free of charge.

Weed and Drugs

Drugs are very common in Podgorica. Pretty much anyone above 16 has at least tried it. Harder drugs are less common, however, if you're offering, you won't have trouble finding people to do them with. Harder drugs are much more common along the coast.

Legality- Weed is illegal in Podgorica, however, amounts for personal consumption will rarely get you in trouble with the cops. Many cops simply turn a blind eye to it, and this situation is somewhat of an open secret in Podgorica.

While it is illegal, there has been some political stirring on the subject recently. With how quickly the laws in Montenegro ebb and flow, by the time you're reading this, weed could've easily become legal. Naturally, all other drugs are also illegal, however, the police have very few drug dogs, so as long as you aren't obviously drugged off your face, they're unlikely to spot it.

Price- Drugs in Montenegro are quite high quality and cheap. This is because it's situated near Albania and Italy, both great drug exporters. When it comes to weed, you'll be looking at prices of around 10$ for a gram. Coke will often go for less than 40$ a gram, and LSD is about 15-20$ a tablet. If you're looking for a city to have a cheap, quality rave, look no further than Podgorica.

Where- When it comes to finding drugs-simply ask around! People are quite open about who does what, as well as who their dealer is. You won't appear suspicious, but instead, simply another tourist looking to get some kush. When it comes to slang terms, "Trava" (Thrah-wah) and "Vutra"(Wu-Trah) are the two most common ones. With that being said, everyone will understand if you just say "weed" or "green".

Health, Fitness, Gyms and Massage

Staying fit and healthy is easy in Podgorica. When it comes to basic healthcare, while you should have a form of health insurance, there are private practitioners which are quite cheap(think $10 for a checkup). You shouldn't worry too much about the prices, as they'll never exceed the costs in more developed nations like the US.

When it comes to staying fit, there is a variety of gyms available many of them are quite cheap, at 10-15$ a month. With that you can gain access to a professionally staffed, excellent gym.

If indoor gyms simply aren't your style, there are multiple outdoor gyms which are free to use for everyone. These are mostly made for bodyweight training and lifting. There are also many outdoor sports fields, so you can stay fit while having fun. Football and Basketball are by far the most popular sports, and if you venture a bit North into Niksic you can have a go at Waterpolo.

STDs and HIV

If there's one good thing about a traditionalist, patriarchal upbringing, then that's the lack of STD's present. If someone has an STD, you'll know, likely the whole town will be talking about it.

Podgorica also has excellent sex-ed, beginning at 13, children are taught about sex and STD's. Condom use is encouraged by the state, and there are even commercials being played on TV for not only various condom brands, but also for general condom usage.

When it comes to protection, you'll find that pretty much every type of condom is available, with the best option being the Durex "Ultra thin" condoms.

Even though there are basically no sexually transmitted diseases in Podgorica, that doesn't mean you should go raw-dogging every girl you see. Make sure to wear protection and stay safe, even when the risk isn't very high!

Stay Safe

Unfortunately, Podgorica's public perception is highly skewed by Western propaganda during the time it was part of communist Yugoslavia. The city has completely changed itself-and for the better, since then.

Crime rates are quite low, and most crimes committed are by organized criminals that have little to do with tourists.

Theft and robbery are very rare in Podgorica. This is because in such a small city, "everyone knows everyone" and crimes such as those are considered not just dishonorable, but a disgrace upon the family. On the other hand, violence is extremely common.

Fistfights, unless they result in serious injury, aren't seen as a crime in Podgorica. While legally, they are, society doesn't perceive them as such. This is what you should be most careful of, try to steer clear from confrontations with anyone, as the people can be quite aggressive.
