| Description |
Dating back to the mid-1980s, these locos originally Deutsche Reichsbahn class 243 have moved around Germany. However, some are still in use on services they have worked for decades including push-pull workings of double deck sets on the Dresden S-Bahn. In 2001, a station at Dresden Airport opened up. Initially, non-electrified, in 2004 the electrification was extended from Dresden-Neustadt to allow the route to be included in the S-Bahn. Seen on 3 July 2019 at Dresden-Klotzsche is 143973 with its 2-coach double deck set on route S2, 09:18 Dresden Flughafen to Pirna. |
